2017-2021 Honda Accord Wheel Fitment Guide

October 16, 2021

The Accord is Honda's bread and butter car (outside the Civic). Not only is the Accord practical for everyday driving, but it's a Honda which means it'll last forever even if you stop putting oil in it.

By no means am I recommending that you do this, but it's a testament to just how reliable and bulletproof Honda engines generally are.

When it comes to modifying Accord's, it's pretty easy to level up the styling and performance with only a few minor mods. Before you even get into intakes, exhausts, and such, a new wheel and tire setup is essential.

You can make what others see as your average "mom car" or "grocery-getter," as all the kids say these days, into a super clean and well-built cruiser.

Before you start deep diving the internet for the best wheel and tire specs, it's always good to consider the stock fitment and know the recommended fitment specs.

The 10th gen Honda Accord's stock wheel size is 19x8 +55mm and has a 5x114.3mm bolt pattern

The recommended wheel sizes for the 10th gen include front-wheel sizes of 17" to 21" with widths between 7.5" and 10" and offsets between +20mm and +55mm.

For the rear, you can run anything between 17" and 20" wheels with widths ranging from 7.5" to 10" and offsets between +15mm to +55mm.

Since the stock wheel size is a 19" wheel diameter, most people are running either a wider 19" wheel or a slightly bigger 20" wheel with a short sidewall tire.

Running a smaller 18" wheel is the other common setup, especially for daily drivers and those who want to have a little more tire showing.

Two other important factors to consider when upgrading your wheels and tires are your driving habits/lifestyle and the suspension you decide to run, whether it's the stock suspension, lowering springs, coilovers, or air suspension.

Lowering your car will obviously play into the fitment of your wheels and tire. If you want to achieve a wider setup, you may run into clearance issues that require rolled fenders or plastic trimming of some sort.

When you're searching through the Honda Accord fitment gallery, take a look at the suspension upgrades so you don't buy the same wheel and tire specs and find out that you're getting a massive wheel gap or absolutely no clearance.

Speaking of specs, let's get into some common wheel and tire specs for the 10th gen Honda Accord.

5 REASONS WHY FITMENT INDUSTRIES SHOULD BE YOUR GO-TO

10th Gen Honda Accord 18-inch Wheel Fitment

For some cars, an 18" wheel is either the standard or even a little big, but for the chunky sedan (or coupe) like the Honda Accord, an 18" wheel is definitely on the smaller side. However, most people who run 18s on their Accord run a slightly meatier tire, so it fills up the wheel well nicely (no wheel gap).

The most common 18" wheel setup on the Accord for your average cruiser setup is an 18x8 or 8.5 wheel with a +22mm to +40mm offset and a 235/40 or 45 tire

This will give you a flush or nearly flush fitment style (depending on your width and offset), which most daily driving and street cruising enthusiasts are going for.

You can also run a meatier tire this way, compared to your 19" and 20" wheels.

Another super clean 18" setup with a similar fitment style is an 18x10 +30mm

This is a much wider option than the 8" wheel width before, which still fills the wheel well nicely. However, running this kind of setup lowered on coilovers, you'll most likely need to roll the fenders and possibly upgrade some other suspension components (camber arms and camber adjustments) to get the clearance and flush fitment you're looking for.

If you bump this setup down in width to an 18x9 or 18x9.5 while being lowering on coilovers or lowering springs, you will avoid some of the major suspension modifications. You still might need to roll the fenders for better clearance there.

Most people are running a 18x9.5 +30mm to +38mm wheel with a 255/40 tire with rolled fenders for nearly flush or flush fitment.

10th Gen Honda Accord 19-inch Wheel Fitment

Moving up to a 19" wheel, most people run a 19x9.5 +35mm with a 225/40 if lowered on coilovers or a 255/35 with some suspension modifications again (camber arms, etc.). This will also give you a nearly flush fitment style.

Now, if the poke style of fitment is more your style, you'll opt for a lower offset. A common setup is the same 19x9.5 but with a +22mm offset. This will give you more stance vibes rather than a solid flush style.

Many people who run a staggered setup on their Accord will almost always run 19" wheels. A few common staggered setups include…

- Front: 19x8.5 +35mm |  Rear: 19x9.5 +22mm

- Front: 19x9.5 +20mm | Rear: 19x10.5 +15mm

- Front: 19x9.5 +22mm | Rear: 19x11 +22mm

All of these setups assume you're lowered as well (coilovers or bags), so naturally, you're going to need to either roll the fenders or make some suspension adjustment to make everything fit.

With most stance builds, you're going to be running some crazy camber anyways, so that's why you'll notice some WIDE wheels with low offsets in the rears.

10th Gen Honda Accord 20-inch Wheel Fitment

Running 20s on an Accord is one of the most common wheel upgrade because of its bigger body style.

20" wheels are also the most common diameter to go with for staggered and bagged setups since it goes with that fitment style incredibly well.

The most common 20" wheel sizes to go with for the Honda Accord are…

- 20x8.5 +45mm with a 245/30 tire

- 20x9 +35mm with a 255/35 tire

- 20x10 +35mm to +45mm with a 255/35 or a 275/30 tire

For staggered setups, here are the most common specs:

- Front: 20x8.5 +30mm |  Rear: 20x10 +40mm

- Front: 20x9 +35mm |  Rear: 20x10 +45mm

- Front: 20x9 +35mm | Rear: 20x10.5 +40mm

If you're looking to run bags on your Accord and want to keep the traditional square setup, you'll end up having a tucked fitment to clear your wheels and tires. Most people with these build credentials run 20x10.5 +25mm to +45mm wheels wrapped in 235/35 to 355/35 tires.

These specs achieve a tucked fitment style and sport the stance vibe.

Now, if you run bags and want to run 20" wheels, but you're looking for a staggered setup, going with a 20x9 +30mm in the front and 20x10.5 +30mm in the rears is a solid choice.

This will still get you a tucked fitment, but your rear wheels are just going to be wider.

On the other end of the spectrum, if you want to run a solid daily driving or non-stance wheel and tire setup with some lowering springs or coilovers (or even stock suspension), these are a few common sizes.

 - 20x9 +40mm with a 245/35 tire

- 20x10.5 +35mm to +45mm with a 265/35

With the 20x10.5 size, you'll definitely see people running a smaller tire, like a 245 or a 255, but know that you're going to get some tire stretch with anything smaller than a 265 on a 10.5" wheel.

If you want to stick with a better daily driving set up, stretched tires are not where it's at. Stick with a 265 with a shorter sidewall, so you don't have clearance issues (if you're lowered).

Final Thoughts & What's Next?

I hope this 2017 - 2021 Honda Accord wheel fitment guide gave you an idea of what type of fitment you're looking for with the associated wheel and tire specs.

As I said before, it's important to consider your lifestyle/driving habits and the type of suspension you'll be running when looking for new wheels and tires.

As far as suspension goes, the lower you are, the more complex it becomes to find the perfect fitment and just enough clearance. The same thing applies to bigger and wider wheels.

If you daily your Accord and just want a nice-looking setup, it's popular to go with a slightly wider 19" wheel size that fits the chunky body style and some lowering springs—it looks good and is still functional.

If your Accord is going to make an appearance at all your local car meets and car shows, you might want to spice things up with a wider setup and maybe some coilovers or air suspension if you want to go all-out.
